Familysearch.org

Familyseach.org is the Family History website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints;  often referred to as Mormon.

Known for their missionaries and Tabernacle Choir, family history is only a part of the work of the Church.

The Church has been microfilming  vital records around the world. They started mass filming in England in late 1940's.

Currently there are 275 cameras in 44 countries filming records, increasing the Church's genealogy resources by an average of 60,000 rolls of microfilm each year.

The Resources at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City are available around the world at the local Church Family History Centres
